Structural Controllability of Switched Linear Systems

چکیده

In this paper, the structural controllability of switched linear systems is investigated. In particular, switched linear systems with independent subsystem models are studied. The structural controllability is a generalization of the traditional controllability concept for dynamical systems, and purely based on the graphic topologies among state and input vertices. First, two kinds of graphic representations of switched linear systems are proposed. Second, graph theory based necessary and sufficient characterizations of the structural controllability for switched linear systems are presented. Finally, the paper concludes with one illustrative example and discussions on the results and future work.

The controllability for switched linear systems with time-delay in control are first formulated and investigated. A sufficient and necessary condition for controllability of periodically switched linear systems is presented. Furthermore, it is proved that the controllability can be realized in n + 1 periods at most. An example illustrates the above results. Some further results are also presented.

This paper considers a H∞ control problem of a class of linear uncertain time-varying switched system via controllability approach. We show that the solution of this problem can be verified by the global null-controllability of linear control systems. The feedback stabilizing controllers for the problem are constructed via the solutions of certain Riccati differential equations.
